Antlers....

Morning Folks!

Yay Sunday, time for a lazy lie in, tea in bed and the start of a new challenge at Here come the Boys!!

This time our challenge is

CHRISTMAS IN BROWN and CREAM

Now, I have to say this had me a little stumped at first because it's not a colour combo I had associated with Christmas, but then I guess that's why it is a challenge!!

Here's what I came up with after some head scratching and rummaging through my stash
Sorry about the dark picture, in real life the deer is a chocolate brown colour and the background embossing is quite creamy but my camera had other ideas.....

The very handsome deer with the gorgeous antlers is by Stampin Up which I bought a few months ago... I was trying so hard not to buy more Xmas stuff but I just couldn't resist!!
The die cut border is by Memory box and the embossing folder is by cuttlebug.

Here's the border with some added gems and some very old ribbon from my collection!!

Please head over to the main HCTB challenge blog to get some inspiration from the rest of the design team and all the challenge details!
Don't forget our challenge is all about making cards for men - young and old - so girly cards are not allowed!!!

Thanks for visiting today and enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

Trick or Treat

Afternoon Folks!
Hope you're all well, it's been a grey and dull day here in my part of the world, but I have cheered myself up by colouring up my super cute new House Mouse stamp !!
I'm really pleased that the little chap made it across the pond in time for me to enter one of my fav challenges at House Mouse and Friends - the theme is Hey Pumpkin
I haven't joined in for a while because either I haven't had time or an appropriate image - perhaps a good excuse to buy more mice??!!

Who could resist that cute little face - well yes, I know meece aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I think he is cute!!

Here's the finished card:

The papers are by MME and the sentiment was a freebie from Digi stamp Boutique.
I used promarkers, flexmarkers and some stickles glitter.
Pumpkin charm, flower and green ribbon all from my stash, and are all very old - LOL!!!

Thanks for looking in today!
